NEWS: Feel Good Friday

Hi all! I apologize that I have not posted anything in the past couple of weeks! It has been completely crazy, with work, my mother and brother visiting, an AMAZING beach trip and so much more! I promised myself that this weekend, I will sit my butt down and do a series of illustrations about these past few weeks! I can´t wait to get back to it!

 One major thing that I could not wait until this weekend to post about is that

There is a new webpage in town and guess what, all it brings is GOOD NEWS!

MUSIC: SOUS LE SOLEIL

Hi all! I haven’t posted anything for my music category in a while! I thought I should post a song that has been on my playlist since I was 18, and lately I have just been playing it over and over again!

I first heard it while I was watching the movie Unfaithful with Richard Gere (sexy man), Olivier Martinez (very sexy man) and Diane Lane (gorgeous woman). The song, from the Hotel Costes Quatre album, was playing in the background during a *ahem* compromising scene in a cafe. 😉

The song, however, doesn’t remind me of the movie, it reminds me of yes, sitting under the sun at a white sandy beach! So here is an illustration inspired by “Sous le Soleil”.

FASHION / MUSIC: I Vote Shingai Shoniwa for D&G!

I am so in love with the D&G Spring 2012 Collection. So much colour and really great fabrics. Also, I have been listening to a certain UK Indie group called The Noisettes. If you haven’t heard of them, they are totally worth a listen! Their sound is amazing and their lead singer, Shingai Shoniwa is so incredibly cool. She of Zimbabwean descent, and her style, voice and over all stage presence has me hooked.

So….I thought, It would be so amazing to see her as the face of D&G Spring Summer 2012 ….Since Spring 2012 is already here and mmmost likely the big guys at D&G won’t listen to little ol’ me, I decided to take the matter into my own hands and create my own “Shingai Shoniwa for D&G” ad myself…simply to satisfy my own wishes! What do you think?? :p

LIFESTYLE: Taking it easy — Little cafes are all around

This morning I woke up pretty early, well earlier than usual. Since I am in one of the prettiest cities in Europe (Madrid) I decided to go grab a coffee and croissant at the little cafe downstairs to do some work. So here I am with my laptop, people watching…kind of. I am inside –the weather is chilly this morning.

This is what I love so much about Europe. The best coffee can be found at a cafe downstairs.

Here is a little sketch I did inspired by a little cafe I visited on my first trip to Paris.
